TextPattern Content Management System -- overview

Version used in this lesson: TextPattern 4.04. The advantage of TextPattern is that it is small and light. Templates and plugins can be found at textpattern.org. Their forum here.

1. After downloading TextPattern, unzip and upload to webhost. Following their instructions here.

2. Setup database.

3. Run setup from browser such as http://www.yourdomain.com/textpattern/

4. Delete the setup directory in textpattern.

3. You admin panel will be located at http://www.yourdomain.com/textpattern/index.php

Notes

Textpattern does not come with an HTML editor, but you can install a plugin that provides that TinyMCE editor.
