Why I Love Semicolons

A period is too strong;
a comma is too weak;
a semicolon is just right;
that is why I love semicolons.

A semicolon is a union of two characters;
the period sits on top of the comma;
it blends harmoniously like ying and yang;
that is why I love semicolons.

A semicolon implies a continuity of thought;
all my thoughts are continuous;
I do not ramble;
that is why I love semicolons.

I hate starting a sentence with a capital;
too many presses of the Shift key;
a semicolon relieves me of this;
