Learning FTP

In order to upload files to your web host web server, you can use FTP which stand for "File Transfer Protocol".

Note that on the transferring files to the web server does not necessarily mean that it will be publicly available. Depending on the configuration of the web server, if you put files within specified folders (typically "public_html", "www", or "wwwroot"), then it will be immediately publicly available. If you put files in certain other folders or if the FTP login is setup to do so, the files can be deposited to the web server without it being publicly available.
