How to Set Up a New Email Account in CPanel

Many webhost have CPanel, a web-based control panel interface that enables you the administrator to administer various aspects of your webhosting account. If your webhost has CPanel, then this tutorial will show you how to set up a domain name email address.

1. First log into your webhost's ">CPanel and click on the Email Accounts icon ...

2. In the Add a New Email Account section, type in the new email address that you want to create.

3. Then type in the password you want for that email account. Or have the system generate a random password by clicking the Generate Password button. A password strength indicator will incidate how strong your password is. A green bar and an high number like 100 (as shown above) is good.

You will need to re-type your password again to confirm your password. The malibox quota is the maximum amount of disk space you will allow for the email account to use.

4. Then click the Create button. You should get a confirmation displayed message saying that your account has been created. And the Email Accounts page should show your new domain name email.

5. Now you can use the email account via your web host's webmail (if available). Or you can configure an email client to access the email account via POP access. See tutorial linked here to see how to configure an email client like Thunderbird.
