Installing Drupal

1. The Drupal downloaded file is in tar.gz file. You have to extract twice using a utility like 7-zip so that you got all the folder hierarchy.

2. Upload to webhost.

3. Create database and user.

4. Run install script from base URL.

5. The install will update sites/default/settings.php and write-protect it.

6. When done, you can go to the welcome screen at base URL.

7. Go through the steps in the welcome screen to setup admin user until you got a clear status in the admin section.
