We recommend Adobe Dreamweaver for the editor when coding HTML and other source files because of its many productivity enhancement features. It also has the round-trip code view and design view feature, code collapse, tag matching, and built in FTP file transfer. It is both an WYSIWYG editor as well as a Text Editor. But there are other editors listed below that you can look at that may be less expensive or even free.
