Setting Internet Explorer 7.0 as the Default Browser

Follow these steps to set Internet Explorer 7.0 as the default browser so that whenever you click on a link, Internet Explorer will be the browser that is loaded.

1. Go to Tools -> Internet Options.

2. Click the Make Default button. If that button is disabled, that means that Internet Explorer is already the default browser.

If you checkmark the option "Tell me if Internet Explorer is not the default web browser", then every time you start Internet Explorer, you will encounter the following dialog if it is not set as the default browser.

3. If you do not want to set Internet Explorer as the default browser, you should go to your browser of choice and set that as you default browser. Then uncheck the options "Always perform this check when starting Internet Explorer" and/or the option "Tell me if Internet Explorer is not the default browser" in the above two dialogs of Internet Explorer.
