Item is Sold

The auction in which I was selling the X-Men Trading card has now ended and eBay had emailed my saying that my item has sold for $21.00. Good thing I had lowered my reserve price from $24.99 to $9.99. Otherwise the item would not have been sold.

If you need to contact the buyer, you have his/her email address. His/her postal address of where you will ship the item is also in the email that eBay sent you.

Send Invoice

At this time, you would send the buyer an eBay invoice by clicking the Send Invoice button found in the email.

You can add a personal message saying that you will ship the item as soon as you receive payment, etc.

And then click the Send Invoice button. eBay will confirm that an invoice had been sent...

Click on the link View payment status and you will see all the various action that you can take, such as Mark payment received, mark item shipped, leave feedback, or contact the buyer.

You can continue to track the item in My eBay under the Sold link. eBay will track for you whether the buyer has paid or not. If you have another identical item for sale, you can make a second chance offer to the next highest bidder.

As an alternative to to the "Send Invoice" feature, you can send a PayPal money request for an eBay item sold. You can see how to do this in the next lesson.
