In this example, we are going to set up Free Shipping in ZenCart whenever order total exceeds $100.

Turning On Free Shipping Option

1. In the Admin panel, go to "Modules -> Shipping".

2. Click on "Free Shipping Options".

3. Click "Install".

4. You will see the various options that you can set...

5. For our example, we'll just set total greater than or equal to 100.00 (see above picture). Then click the "Update" button at the bottom.

6. Now when customer who spends over $100 reaches the shipping page at checkout, they will see "Free shipping" option along with their other shipping choices. The "free shipping" will be selected by default.

Changing the Free Shipping Option

1. In the Admin panel, go to "Modules -> Shipping".

2. Click on "Free Shipping Options".

3. Click the "Edit" button.

Removing the Free Shipping Option
1. In the Admin panel, go to "Modules -> Shipping".

2. Click on "Free Shipping Options".

3. Click the "Remove" button.

Enhancement

Now if you do set up a free shipping promotion for your store, it would be nice to be able to indicate this on the front page of your store. One way to do this is to have your web developer alter the core functionality of ZenCart so that you can display a promotion message on your storefront. This is described in another tutorial.
