Your First Blog

1. Once you have an account, you can login at blogger.com. What you will see is the "dashboard" showing you the blog whose name you have choosen.

In this example, I have a blog named artcoder -- my own personal blog.

2. Now you are ready for your first blog post. Click on the plus icon shown above and you will get to the posting tab. Follow these steps to post...

a) Enter the title of the blog
b) Click the Compose tab
c) Type the contents of the blog.
d) Click publish

3. You get a confirmation that you blog has been published.

4. Click the link to preview the blog in a new window....

Congratulations! That was your first blog and it is published to the world. If anyone asks what is the URL to your blog, give them it is the URL shown in the browser address bar. In my example, that address is http://artcoder.blogspot.com where artcoder is the name of my blog.

5. You can close this blog window when you are done. You still have the other browser window open. So click Back to Dashboard. See that now it shows that you have one blog entry.

6. Click the blog link to view the entries...

7. Click Sign Out when done.
