What is a Permalink?

A permalink is an URL of a permanent link to a blog entry. If you want to give people a link to a particular entry of your blog, this URL is the link that you would give them.

1. As an example, people will go to my main page of the blog at the URL http://artcoder.blogspot.com If you want to point people the blog in general (as opposed to a particular blog entry), this is the URL that you give them.

You see two blog entries. The newer one is on top. These entries change as you add new blog entries.

2. To obtain the permanent link URL to a particular entry, you click the time link as shown below.

3. You will be taken to the page of your blog entry.

Note the URL is an unique URL to this blog entry. Blogger constructed it using the subject line of your blog. If you want to point people to this particular blog entry, this is the URL that you give them.
