Filter Certain Ads from AdSenseOnce in a while you might see an ad on your site that you simply don't like. For example, I once saw an AdSense ad on my site with a caption that I didn't think was a nice thing to say to my loyal readers -- even though it is just an ad. And when I hover over the link, I what site the link will take me to. Then I typed in the URL into by browser to see what kind of site it was. Notice that I did not click on the link, because that would be against AdSense policy remember? Don't remember? That was just in the last lesson. There may be other reasons that you might not want to display certain ads. For example, some ads may go to sites that are still under construction and do not have a lot of content. There may be ads for products or services that you might object. And there might be competitive ads. For example, your site might be about your services as a web designer. And you see an ads about a competing web designer on your site. Whatever the reason , there are ways for you to prevent certain ads from showing and here is how. Google aptly calls it the "Competitive Ad Filter". You will find that link under the "Adsense for Content" tab. Click the "Edit" link and type in the domain name or URL that the ad is going to. And click Save. You can have a list of up to 200 sites. Now ads that goes to those sites listed in your filter will not be displayed on your site anymore. Note that it might take a few hours for this to take effect. Advertise On This Site LinkYou might have noticed that the Google ads is also showing a link that says "Advertise On This Site".
