Using Google Ads to Generate Revenue

Browse through various websites on the internet and you will find that a large majority of them are using Google ads or Google search box. Why? Because they help generate revenue for the site.

In this tutorial, I will show you how to sign up for Google Adsense so that you can place google ads and google search on your site for additional revenue.

As an example to use, I have a website article shown below about detecting fraudlent emails. As you can see, I have added a Google search box and google ads. The Google ads are automatically relevalent to the page content on which the ads are placed.

When the user enters some search text and clicks the Google's Search button, the user is taken to a page of search results along with some relevant Google Ads.

If the user happens to click on these Ads, then you get paid. Don't ask me how much because I don't really know what formula they use; ask Google. This is known as Google AdSense for Search. Similarly, when you display Google Ads (also known as Google AdSense for Content), Google will pay you the user clicks on the ads.

You may be tempted to click on these ads yourself. But constrain your temptation, because it is against Google policy for you to click on them yourself. And Google can detect how frequent and from what IP address of which the clicks originate.

In the next lesson, you will learn how to add Google Search on your site.
