Adding Your PayPal to Yahoo Stores

Using PayPal as your payment processor for your Yahoo Store is the simplest method. You do not need a separate merchant account. And the proceeds of your sales will go directly to your PayPal account.

If you want PayPal to be your payment processor for your Yahoo Store, follow these steps...

1. Login into Yahoo at http://smallbusiness.yahoo.com and click on Store Control Panel link.

2. Click on Payment Center link and enter your security key.

3. Click Add Payment Processor.

4. Select "Use Your Existing Payment Processor". And under that, select "I want to accept payments using my PayPal account" and click the Next button.

4. You will then be asked to log into your Paypal account. If it is not already a business or premier account, PayPal may ask that you upgrade. There is no extra monthly fee to upgrade. You can go ahead and perform the Paypal upgrade -- at which point it may ask to confirm your email and bank account.

5. In PayPal click on the link "Go" that setup the API to enables Yahoo to comunicate with your PayPal.

6. PayPal will ask you to confirm API permission. Click Give Permission.

7. And that's it. It is all set.

8. Now if you go to Profile tab in PayPal and click on API Access...

and click on View API Permission...

you will see that Yahoo API is listed...

And if you click Edit, you will see that Yahoo store has been given permission to access the following PayPal APIs...

9. Now if you go to back to Yahoo, you will see that it has the PayPal email id with the settings shown...

10. Often whenever you make changes in the Yahoo Store under the Order Setting section, you need to "publish" those setting changes. You will know if you need to publish the setting or not by looking at the "Publish Order Settings" link. If you see a red star next to the link. That means that some changes was not published.

You would then need to login to Yahoo Store as before, go to the Store Control Panel and click the "Publish Order Settings". And then click the button to publish. More info here.
