Order Confirmation Email in ZenCartAnd if the new customer make an actual purchase in the store, he/she will receive an order confirmation email that looks like...
In addition, a copy of this order confirmation will be emailed to the merchant at the address defined in "Admin -> Configuration -> E-mail Options -> Send Copy of Order Confirmation Email To". Let's assume that the ZenCart store is implemented using the PayPal IPN method. Then in addition to the copy of the order confirmation, the customer will also receive an email from PayPal that customer had paid merchant via Paypal. The customer considers this as a receipt of payment. On there is also the contact information of the merchant should customer have any questions. The merchant too will also received an email from PayPal that informing the merchant that he/she had received payment into his/her PayPal account. Both the copy of the order confirmation and the PayPal payment notification is how the merchant will know that an order has come in that he/she must ship. Merchant should look through both emails to see if customer has supplied any additional comments in regards to the order. The customer had the option of placing comment during ZenCart checkout process as well as during PayPal processing. Hence customer comments can arrive in either the order confirmation or the PayPal notification or both. If merchant receives a PayPal payment notification without receiving an copy of the order confirmation, he/she must be wary of the possibility of fradulent PayPal emails (as described in this tutorial).
