Cleaning the Admin Logs in ZenCart

ZenCart keeps tracks of all the clicks in the admin control panel in the "zen_admin_activity_log" table in the database.

Sometimes this log can get very big. Therefore, ZenCart shows you a warning alert in the admin control panel...

whenever you have not cleaned out the log for over 2 months or whenever you have more than 50,000 records in the table.

When shop is running well and you get this warning, it is recommended that you clean the admin log by clicking on the "reset" button as shown above. This will delete the entries in the zen_admin_activity_log table of your database. It is perfectly safe to delete these records (assuming that you are not analyzing the logs for hacker activities, etc).

Another way to clean your admin logs (even when you are not getting the warning) is by going to the menu "Tools -> Store Manager" and clicking the Reset button shown below...

Once you do this, the warning disappears and you get a confirmation of an successful update.
